(Word Count: 316) The majority of people surveyed believe that Australia is not accepting too many people and that Australia should accept more refugees. This is linked because the percentage stays the same; of people surveyed think that Australia isn’t accepting too many refugees and that we should accept more. The largest age group that partook in the survey stated that they were between the ages of 21-40; in line with this survey it appears that the majority of middle age people with few exceptions think that Australia should welcome more refugees. Some of the reasons for letting more refugees into our Nation are that Australia has an obligation to refugees who are escaping from their country of origin because we have the resources and don’t accept as many refugees as we should and could. It is also argued that is the humane thing to do and that we need a bigger population.
